She’d held her head up high.
Every day for far too long.
She’d never been seen to cry.
No one knew what was wrong.

The trees blew left and,
The trees blew right.
The trees tried to stand,
They put up their fight.

She looked up in the sky,
Looking for the Light.
She didn’t want to cry,
But she was growing weak to fight.

The wind pushed the trees,
‘Til the branches started falling.
Forceful for a breeze,
The sound of thunder calling.

Her head fell to her knees.
She let a few tears slip out.
She was crying “Father please,
“Just take from me this doubt.”

The thunder split the skies,
The trees limber from the roots.
You hear the lightning’s cries,
Across the sky it shoots.

And at that moment of disbelief,
Was the moment she’d of gave in.
But the moment of calm relief,
Was before the loss’d begin.

And as the trees played their demise,
The rain slowed to a stop.
With the last horrendous cries,
The trees with stood the very last drop.
