Sitting there,
On her own.
A tear slides down her cheek.
Life’s not fair,
She’s all alone,
Feeling broken, feeling weak.

If crying mattered,
She’d be alright,
Not a day’s gone by that she’s not cried.
Her heart shattered,
Her sorrow trite,
She just waits for the pain to subside.

Tear filled eyes,
And empty hands,
One day hoping to feel alright.
Hopeless tries,
No one understands,
That’s why she cries at night.

Her heart breaks,
As her eyes close,
She’s had enough of them.
Stupid mistakes,
Painful blows,
They do not love but they condemn.

So hold her tight,
Fill her heart,
She needs to know that she’s okay.
Too tired to fight,
She falls apart,
So take her pain away.
